I spent 20 years inside the industry, leading creative marketing teams at Blizzard Entertainment, Scopely Games, and Social Point (Take-Two), across big franchises, fast-growing studios, and high-pressure launches.
Over time, I worked across creative production, marketing, leadership, and organisational growth, often in environments where the pace was relentless and the stakes even higher.
And somewhere along the way, I kept noticing the same problem.
When I was VP of a large studio, I started looking for programs that could help my teams strengthen their understanding of the business side of game development. Something practical. Something designed for how gaming studios actually work.
I couldn't find it.
Most training felt disconnected from our reality: too generic, too theoretical, impossible to apply inside fast-moving production environments. The speed, the uncertainty, the constant pivots, the pressure to align creative, product, monetisation, and leadership decisions quickly. None of that was reflected.
And yet the people I worked with were incredibly talented. What they often lacked wasn't intelligence or ambition. It was shared frameworks, a way to connect decisions across teams, and to understand how business, creativity, production, and player experience influence each other.
So I thought: if it doesn't exist, let's build it.
That's what Sparking Waves is.
For the past decades, I've worked at the intersection of creativity, leadership, and business inside this industry. I've led creative marketing teams at Blizzard, Scopely, and Social Point, including building and scaling an in-house agency of 80–100 people.
Today, alongside the platform, I coach leaders and teams across gaming and tech. My work focuses on the challenges that emerge when companies grow fast: alignment, decision-making, communication, leadership under pressure, and helping teams stay effective without losing what makes them creative.
I'm also a PCC-certified coach, which deeply shaped how I design learning experiences. Because expertise alone doesn't transfer. People learn when ideas are clear, actionable, and connected to the reality of their work. Not before.
I occasionally run masterclasses and coaching sessions for emerging gaming talent, including at ISART Digital.
Everything inside Sparking Waves is built around four ideas the OACA Framework. Not management theory. Patterns observed repeatedly inside studios: what helps teams move forward, what creates friction, and what makes decision-making stronger under pressure.
Beyond the e-learning platform, I offer 1-1 executive coaching and team coaching workshops, delivered with a team of experienced coaches, each specialised in gaming and tech. A different format, the same industry expertise.
